HOME CARE WORKERS

You will be given the opportunity to care for clients in your preferred area, close to your home. A full UK drivers license and access to your own vehicle is essential with positions available in Caldicot, Chepstow and Magor.

Job role: 

  • Personal Care - dressing, washing, toileting, grooming clients
  • Day/evening/night sitting services as required
  • Health care - assisting the client in taking prescribed medication
  • Dietary care - preparation of meals according to the client’s preferences and assisting with feeding as required
  • Domestic/household services - general cleaning and laundry duties, shopping, fuel management
  • Personal services - assisting with personal finances
  • To maintain accurate, concise and timely records of client care, diary sheets, timesheets and mileage sheets

Key Skills: 

  • Full UK drivers license and access to own vehicle

Permanent / Flexible

You will be provided with uniform, and mileage expenses will be covered.

Monday-Friday, Weekend availability

Salary: £11.43 - £13.94 per hour depending on shift pattern. (Salary increases after probation)

Job role: 

  • Install and commission fire alarm systems (both conventional and addressable systems)
  • Install and commission intruder alarm systems
  • Install CCTV camera systems
  • Install access control systems
  • Install emergency lighting systems
  • Attend sites to carry out fault-finding and maintenance
  • Other activities to aid in the day-to-day running of the business

Key Skills: 

  • Experience in security and fire installations or electrical installations
  • Good knowledge of basic electronics and electrical principles
  • Hardworking and highly motivated
  • Good customer service skills
  • Full clean UK driving license

Full Time / Temporary 6 month contract with aim to renew

Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week, overtime may be required

GENERAL MANAGER

Afan Lodge is set in the picturesque Afan Valley. Its hotel is as popular with cyclists and walkers looking to explore the beautiful area as it’s restaurant and bar is with families looking for freshly cooked, locally sourced menus.

It now has an exciting opportunity for a General Manager to come and join the team to support the board with its business stabilisation and ambitious growth plans.

Job role:

  • Management of the team - organising staff training, development and appraisals in conjunction with the management team & HR specialist

  • Manage the premises, including facilities & contracts associated with the smooth running of Afan Lodge
  • Deliver an outstanding guest experience including quality of reception delivery, booking process, quality of food, quality of service, cleanliness of accommodation, public areas and non-public areas of the hotel
  • Day to day budget control and oversee payroll
  • Raising the profile of the Lodge - working with marketing specialist and staff to ensure the effective management of social media, digital platforms and our website

  • Maintaining checks and records to ensure our compliance with Health and Safety, Fire, Environmental Health and Licensing
  • Ensure appropriate systems are in place and running smoothly for customer bookings, communication - via email, telephone & digital platforms

Key Skills:

  • Previous management experience in a hospitality setting
  • A good understanding of quality assurance and compliance in a hotel setting
  • Previous experience in hotel business development with understanding of all departments
  • Experience of booking systems
  • Experience of managing suppliers

Full Time / Permanent 

40 hours per week, weekend availability

Salary: £28,000 - £36,000

 


BeachCliff Hotel & Apartments

HOUSEKEEPER

Set in the seaside town of Penarth, BeachCliff Hotel and Apartments is a premier accommodation choice, that prides itself on its beautiful small nine room hotel and four luxuriously furnished apartments. Due to continued growth, BeachCliff is looking to make reinforcements in its housekeeping department.

You will be providing the highest standard of cleanliness and pristine customer service to all of our guests, whilst working alongside the beautiful views of the Bristol channel. You will be working in a team of two housekeepers, with complete freedom to arrange your shift pattern with your closest colleague. And input on improvements or ideas that will benefit the hotel and improve guest experiences will be taken seriously.

Job role:

  • Perform cleaning activities in hotel rooms and apartments
  • Ensure rooms are cared for and inspected according to standards
  • Protect equipment and make sure there are no inadequacies
  • Notify superiors on any damage, deficits and disturbances
  • Deal with reasonable complaints/requests with professionalism and patience
  • Stock management of cleaning supplies and complimentary items
  • Offer guidance to guests and answer any queries they may have
